I think you misunderstood my suggestion.
On the credits slide, select your textbox that will scroll. Copy it and
paste it on top of the original. Alter the animation to start 'With
Previous' and change the 'Delay' from 0 to 80-90% of the animation speed.
This will cause the second box to begin to animate a little before the end
of the first. You will want to tweak the timing to get it to look right.
To change the text inside the second textbox, it may be easier to move it to
the side until done editing it.
