Our client wants to have sections of text in a word file highlighted to call out areas where a user would be directed to fill in specific information. I know how to highlight the text but we want the highlighted text to print the same as the unhighlighted text (in black).

Set the Text Colour to "Black" (not "Automatic").

The Automatic setting alters the colour of the text to give the greatest
contrast between the text and the background (the highlight).

If you set it to Black, you will get black regardless of the highlight.

Just test this before you commit to it: some inkjet printers have a bug
where they print "Automatic" using the black cartridge but they print the
"Black" text using all the colour cartridges (i.e. "process black").

This can be unpleasantly expensive on ink :)

Cheers
