This seems to work here (in PPT 2007 ... I don't have Mac 2008):
Select the text shape
Remove the shape shadow from it by assigning it no shadow.
Then select the *text* in the shape.
Assign the text a text shadow.
Now you have shadowed text that works as expected."
But when I select the offending text box or text, there is no indication that shadow is selected.
The Powerpoint was originally produced in KEYNOTE and exported to Powerpoint, and this is where the problem occurred. I cannot get rid of the shadow.
Help??
