Text Skewed in Normal View

Word XP Sp 2
I've been finding places in my text where it appears that the last few words of
a line are repeated on the next line, and there is a "blurry" aspect to the end
of the paragraph. When I switch to Page Layout View it clears up and then back
to Normal and it is fine. This has happened several times.
I've used Word for nine years and never seen this before. Any idea what causes
it, or how to prevent it?

This sounds like the sort of problem you get from an inadequate display
driver. See if there is an update available and/or reduce the hardware
acceleration in the driver properties (right click the desktop > properties
settings > advanced > troubleshoot.).
