Text suddenly appears in red with strikeovers.

While typing, the text suddenly appeared in red with strikeovers and a bar to
the left margin. I must have unaware hit the "magic" key and now I don't know
how to get back to normal. Thanks for your help. Jennie

You have tracked changes turned on. See if you can get the Reviewing toolbar
to appear and accept all changes. Then turn the track changes feature off.
If you look in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, the letters "TRK"
appear dark. If you double-click on this, it turns off the tracking. Note,
though, you still have to accept the changes.

The status bar was readily available at the bottom of the screen. A quick
click did the deed. Thanks for your prompt assistance. You saved the day!
