Text to Speech - Alternative voices available?

Word 2003 Professional, Windows XP sp2

Are there alternative voices available for the text to speech feature? The
default is very computerized.

Also, can you program the "speaker" to recognize certain words or achronymns
and pronounce them as prescribed? e.g. SEC is read as seck.

You can get even get very REAL sounding voices or voices with other
accents. I use mine all the time and love it!
