In Office XP my Excel could speak the cells. Since upgrading to Office 2007
it has dissapeared. Can anyone tell me how to get it back in Excel 2007?

Right click on the QAT (Quick access toolbar, default is top left by Office
button with save undo buttons). Then select All Commands from the dropdown
and scroll down the list to speak cells and add it to the QAT. It's just not
made it to the main ribbon. I suspect you'll need start and stop

Wow, they certainly hid that one!
I wonder if you could answer another question about Office 2007? In Access
2007 my databases are not visible any more. The side window listing the the
tables and reports, etc, are all there but nothing in the main window.
Not only that but Outlook keeps trying to install my old version of Office XP.

Thanks for your helps in retrieving the nice Michelle back in my Excel. I
was beginning to miss that lady.

If you mean the database window that is deprecated. If you opened Access
before you got a blank window opening or starting a new database gave you
the object window in the middle. This was felt to scare novice users so now
Access opens with the template page and clicking start gives you a
spreadsheet like grid. The objects that where in the centre database window
are now all in the taskpane to the left.

If you are no longer using XP I would uninstall and then install 2007 fresh.
If you only have an upgrade version of 2007, make sure you have the XP CD
available as you will need to insert that for a bit when Office complains it
can't find a qualifying product
