Text to Speech

How do I get MS Office to read back text in a document file (text to speech)?
I have enabled text to speech and when I go to the Control Panel/Speech
settings, and preview the voice it works just fine.

However, when I click on Winkey+S, that activates OneNote' screen clipping
feature, so that doesn't work to activate the text to speech feature. I have
looked all over the Word Menu structure and don't see an option to activate
text to speech.

So how do I get text to speech activated?

Your feedback is appreciated.

The answer depends on what versions of Word and Windows you have.
Unfortunately you did not provide that information.

I'm using Microsoft Office 2003.

After a lot of trial and error, I think I figured out how to get the
text-to-speech feature to work. When you enable the speech tools in the
options menu of the speech tool bar, then a "Speak" button is inserted in the
toolbar which when depressed reads back any text that's highlighted.

Is that it or is there a better shortcut?

Best Regards, Phil
