Text to Values

I have been importing a large list of numbers into excel 10.1.5
My problem is that the list comes in as text, all the numbers
Have 2 spaces after them. This stops me from doing calculations
With the list. How do I convert to values, or get rid of the spaces

Jim Gordon pointed out the way to import new values. If you want to
convert the values you've already imported, select a column, format
it as General, then choose Data/Text to Columns... click Next, Next,
Finish, and your values will be reentered as numbers.

Note: you'll have to do this one column at a time.
