text wrap problem

When using text wrap in a cell in Excel, the text entered
will wrap properly then suddenly, text will disappear,
other text will start appearing in the middle of the cell
as it is entered, one character (sometimes two or three
characters) will appear to the left of the cell as entered
then th cursor will drop to the next line.
