Textbox - multiformat question

S

Stuart

Does Word permit the use of multilpe fonts, font sizes,
underline, italicise etc within a single textbox?

Using Office2003, I have an Excel userform displayed
under an addin. It is essentially a Fax Template, and
hence the main element is a textbox.

My co-workers have asked if there is any way they can
have greater control over their textbox input. However I
don't believe this is possible in Excel.

Can Word accommodate, please?

Regards.

I should say that I realise that the de-facto textbox does
not offer these properties. I wondered if there was an alternative Control,
or perhaps a workaround.

Hi Stuart,

No. Both Excel and Word use the same UserForms package.
You'd need a RichTextBox control; nothing like this comes
with Office.

However, using Word you could certainly let users write the
fax in the Word interface, rather than needing a UserForm?
Or just use the UserForm to get and insert the "header"
data, then let them write the body of the fax in the
document. Or create a Word on-line form (no VBA required
for the data-gathering). You'll find more information on
most of these approaches at the word.mvps.org website.
