Textbox of Persistence

We have a document sent to us by a consultant which has a header. The header
consists of a table with a left cell and a right cell. For some reason, this
table is embedded in a frame. When I try to delete the frame so I can put in
a different heading, the frame comes back. At least it's blank. But I don't
want it. I can't get rid of it to get to the underlying text area.

I've use the "remove frame" button on the frame dialog box and that appears
to work. But before long the frame returns.

it's spooky.

Tables are put into frames when they are wrapped in Word 2003 and you save
the document to be compatible with Word 97 - could that be your problem
here?

Another possibility is that you have a framed style (perhaps Header style),
and so when the style is reapplied you are getting the frame back?

Or it could be coming from a field, and therefore returning when the field
is updated. Try Alt-F9 to toggle display of field codes and see if there is
anything there.
