Textbox/text reformats itself

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

Hi folks

Newbie here on first PowerPoint project...many of my textboxes have suddenly "decided" to apply fill/line (from No Fill/No Line) and change font to Times (from Arial Narrow that I had originally formatted it to).

Any clues, anybody?
