Textboxes on a worksheet

I

Ian Collard

I have placed 4 TextBoxes directly onto a worksheet from
the Control Toolbox menu bar. Each TextBox is sourced
from a different cell, with text that is too long for the
box. All the boxes have MultiLine and WordWrap set to
TRUE. However, as I move between boxes those no longer
with the focus change the part of the text they are
showing, and sometimes lose their scroll bars.

Also when I click back into a box it shows a different
block of the text each time, i.e. sometimes at the
beginning, sometimes halfway through.

Has anybody else expereinced this? Am I missing
something obvious?

Hi Ian;

One way to overcome the issue is to use the camera
function in Excel. You can get to the button by right
clicking on the Excel main menu and slecting Customize.
Then go to commands tab, then go to tools and scroll most
of the way down until you see a little camera. Click and
drag the camera onto one of your menus.

Using the camera button will automatically size the
picture of the cells.

Thanks,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the thought. Unfortunately, using the camera
to treat the TextBox as a picture just gives a snapshot
at that time, and means that I cannot scroll up or down
to see the addtional text.

Another strange thing is that there is no consistency
with when the scroll bars disappear, nor does it seem to
matter if I set the EnterFieldBehaviour to 'select all'
or 'recall selection'. Although this has got all the
appearance of a bug, I just can't believe it hasn't been
highlighted, so it is proabably me!
