TextRange + offset -> Paragraph

J

\Ji Zhou [MSFT]\

Hello Dave,

As we discussed in another thread, we first need to get the count of the
paragraphs by accessing the textRange.Paragraphs(-1,-1).Count. With that,
we can get each paragraph's start location via textRange.Paragraphs(i,
1).Start. The variable i should be ranged from 1 to the count we get above.
Then, giving a offset, we can know which paragraph it is in.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any future questions or
concerns on this.

Have a good day!

Best regards,
Ji Zhou ([email protected], remove 'online.')

Hi David,
If I have a TextRange and a text offset (ie Start + offset) into that
text, how do I find the paragraph it is in?
I'd say you'd need to base on the approach I outlined for your other
question on paragraphs. Store the character position of each occurrence
of ASCII 13, then check if the character number of the text offset
occurs before/after these.

paragraphs. Oh well...
