texture fill is transparent

In stacking one image that use a texture fill over another such image (and
then setting animations to show the two images sequentially), the text of the
lower image shows through the upper image. I did not alter the transparency
slide-rule (it shows 0%). What can I do to make the lower image text NOT show
through the upper image text?

what I mean is that I have one rectangle box placed on top of another
rectangular box and the text of the lower box shows through the upper box;
this makes it impossible to read the text of the upper box, since it is
blurred due to the text in the lower box. The transparency setting for the
two boxes are set at 0% so that is not the reason that the text in the lower
box shows through the upper box
