"The Address list could not be displayed" error

Hi all - Outlook XP SP2 and fully patched.
When I click on the "To" button in a new message screen, (Word as Email
Editor) I get the message "The Address list could not be displayed. The
Contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it
may have been moved or deleted, or you do not have permissions etc etc".
If I go to the Contacts folder, all my contacts are there and I can create a
new email to a contact from the folder. In the Contact Folder properties,
the box "Show this folder as an email address book" is checked under the
Outlook Addressbook tab.

How to I correct this?

Thanks

Go to Tools > Email Accounts > check "View or change existing directories or
address books" > is the Outlook Address Book present > if it is present then
remove it close and restart Outlook and then re-add it > if it isn't present
then add it > close and restart Outlook.

Thank you very much - I shall save that for future reference!
