Hi,

I am using Visio 2000, the computer always attempts to
access drive A when I start visio 2000. I can not find
the related articles in Microsoft knowledge base.

Anybody have idea?

Thanks,
Tommy

This sounds like you have opened or saved a document to your A: drive and it
is still listed in your Visio recent documents list. What I do now is to
save all my documents to my hard drive, then copy to a floppy if I need to,
mainly because of this problem. I affects lots of programs, not just Visio.

One way you can get rid of your problem is to save several files to your
hard drive till the one for your A drive rolls off of the list. There are
other ways, too... Some involve editing the registry, some are simple
deletes from the files list, etc...

Also look in Tools>Options>File Paths to verify there are no volatile drives
there.
