The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable

When I try to open Microsoft Outlook, the following error message appears:

"The connection to Microsost Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be
online or connected to complete this action."

When I click ok, a window opens with a general tab asking for the microsoft
exchange server and mailbox details to be entered.

Could someone please help me to get rid of this error message so I can
configure my outlook profile.

Go to Control Panel->Mail Icon and create a new mail profile, configure it
to use your ISPs mail server and POP3 or IMAP mail. Exchange is a Corporate
Mail server that (most) home users do not have access to.
