After a power flicker this morning I receive the above message. When I
choose yes to begin repair the program hangs. Is there any way to resolve
this issue without seeking a data recovery specialist?

Ohhh, that does not sound good.

Hi i am also getting this error message. still looking for its causes but
couldnot find appropriate. any ways following could be the one.
Abruptly termination of program such as by cancelling the job using Task
Manager utility or by powering off the system directly.
Overheating, inadequate power supply, intermittent components, device
conflicts.
Any application crashing and bringing down others.
Insufficient hard disk space and/or virtual memory.
Losing power during database writes (It can left database in suspect state).

Droppage of network connection.
