The document name or path is not valid.

Rasoul Khoshravan Azar

When I want to open an office file (Word, Excel or so), by double-cliking
the file I getthe folloing error mesage:

The document name or path is not valid.
Try one or more of the following:
* Check the path to make sure it was typed correctly.
* On the file menu, click Open, Search for the file using this dialog box.
("D:\ ")
OK

The only ay to open tha file is the second suggetion (through open command).
Can any tell me what is wrong with my setting?
OS: Windos2000 upgraded from Win98
I am uing Office2000

Sometimes when I creat a new file in Excel using the new command, Save
command doesn't work and an error mesage says:
Cannot save the file. ' .xls' is not a valid file name.

Does this meage has anything to do with the above mentioned error?
