The dreaded Microsoft error message

I have 2 databases; one contains the front-end, the other contains all the
tables. When I'm in query design and try to link 2 particular tables using
the field ProviderID I get the dreaded Microsoft error message that kicks me
totally out of the database so I do not know whats causing the problem. I
tried linking the same tables in Access 2000 on another computer and did not
have a problem. I tried repairing my Microsoft Office, but still have the
same problem. I have also repaired and compacted my linked databases. I do
not have the same problem with other Access databases on my computer. Any
ideas?

First thing to check, do you have the current Office patches/service packs,
MDAC, and Jet installed?

For Office, go to http://office.microsoft.com, click on Check for updates.

Thanks, Wayne. This has been frustrating me for months. I thought it was
something with the database, but when I loaded the Jet updates the problem
disappeared. You're awesome!
