The Equation object and images are not shown

Hi,
i dont know why in my office word 2003 the page numbers and equation object
and images and lots of objects are not show,
i mean there is a text like:
{ Embed Equation.3}

shown instead. (when printing, everything is printed just fine !)
the documents just look fine on other PCs.
