the events dropdown is disabled in design mode

After having InfoPath 2003 and SP1 installed, I tried to add an event to a
control. In design mode, in the Text Box Properties dialog box, under
Validation and Rules, Clicked Data Validation. The Events list is disabled. I
could not add events to any control on the form. Have tried to uninstall
InfoPath and re-installed with full features and SP1. Any suggestions and
directions are highly appreciated.

I think this is related to the Script Editor not being installed correctly.
I don't have good suggestions on repairing that, but you should lauch the
installer from Add/Remove Programs and make sure the HTML Debugging option
is turned on.
