The Expected Version of the Product Was Not Found on Your System

Hello:
I am trying to upgrade my Office 2000 on my Win NT
4 server from SP-2 to SP-3 and when I run the downloaded
program, I get the error: "The Expected Version of the
Product Was Not Found on Your System" I just ran this
update on a workstation w/o an problem, the version number
is even updated in the Help|About section of Word and
Excel... is there a special version for the servers? TIA

I have seen this happen when computers had 2 versions of
office products onboard, ie- word 2000 and Microsoft
office on the same computer, or MS works and Office, Even
Small business edition and premium editions. Best check
the control panel. There is an Installer Version 2 that
is suppose to stop similar issues.

Are you using the automatic updating webpage at
http://office.microsoft.com/productupdates/ or are trying
to update from a disk?
