The font in my signature changes when I go to write a new message

I have edited my signature, and it looks good. But when I open a new message
to check it, the font has changed. I have deleted my signature and redone it,
opened the advanced editing and changed it there, and the font still looks
different in the new message window. This is very annoying having to keep
changing my font with each message. HELP!
