"the form template does not support submit" error

I am using the Vacation Request WSS site template from Microsoft. However,
when I submit the Vacation Request InfoPath form, I get the following error:

"InfoPath cannot submit the form data because the form template does not
support submit."

Any ideas?

Following up on the original post since there was no response.

The specific application is the Absence Request InfoPath form which is part
of the WSS application (see the link below).
