the forumula bar is not visible

i was working with a worksheet. somehow i have hided the formula too
bar. when i clilck on the Home tab i get it.(bold,italics,underline,fon
size. sort and filter etc). when i click on a cell it disappears.when
check the view tab, i can see the ruler option is ticked but no
highlighted what to do to get it back in normal view. thank

It might help to look in the excel OPTIONS
