the global file

L

we just installed project 2000 onto a new work station
running XPpro. We then copied the globa.mpt file from
another computer to this one so that the view and macros
would carry over and be consistant. When we start up this
new station the macros are not present and the view is
incorrect. Is there a way to see if this is using the
wrong global? A search of the computer shows that this is
the only copy on the C:/. Is ther another file that needs
to be transfered or perhaps a setting that we need to
change?

All suggestions appreciated.

Hello,
Generally, the GLOBAL.MPT file is in a directory like
C:\WINDOWS\Application Data\Microsoft\MS...\1033 (for the english version)
If there no other GLOBAL.MPT... there is something strange.
Anyway, you shut done Ms Project, then you can double clic the GLOBAL.MPT that you copied.
MSP will open and propose you to exchange VBA modules, Views, Filters... from *your* Global to its
Global via the Organizer Window.

Hope this help,
