I am running Office 2003 and whenever I start WinWord I get this message.
Microsoft Visual Basic
"The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to the online help
or documentation for the host application to determine how to enable
macros."
I followed the procedures (add/remove programs) to no avail. My macros use
to work and they still work in excel. What do I do?

Thank you,
Fred Jacobowitz

Found the problem. I had a *.dot file added by MYOB that was causing the
problem. Although I didn't know how to fix the problem. So if some one can
tell me I will know for future reference. I uninstalled MYOB and that
deleted the file in question. I found the file by lowering the security
level and then when word came up it told me the template that had macros in
it.

If you put the template in the User Templates folder, the Workgroup
Templates folder, or the Word Startup folder, and check the option to trust
projects in these locations, you won't get the warning for that template.
For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog,
and locations of templates folders see

I cannot seem to locate that statement,

I had this problem before and someone sent me the solution, we had a new
server installed and my profile was changed. How do I get rid of that
statement, I think it had something to do with Office 97 or something. Can
someone advise me on this.
Thanks.

Read my post (quoted below). It tells you what to do. This is handled under
Tools > Macros > Security.
Do _not_ set the security level to low.
