The memory could not be "read"

my word document crashed earlier today and since then i
can open it and edit it, but when i try to save it I get
Application Error that reads:

"The instruction at "xxx" referenced memory at "yyy". The
memory could not be "read".

i've cleaned out temp files and rebooted and i've renamed
normal.dot to normal.old but i am still unable to Save
this document. Does anyone have any ideas?
