The menu option "Import Data" does not appear in Visio 2003

Hi,
I am trying to import names into a space plan (planning a large formal
dinner, want to use my Excel file of guest names to populate the table plan).
Really shouldn't be hard but I am an inexperienced user and it seems Visio
is fighting me all the way!
Latest is Help says I should have the option "Import Data" on the PLAN menu,
but when I click on the plan menu the Import option is not there.
Any ideas out there?

Connecting to data and displaying it in a Visio diagram got a lo
easier with Visio 2007 Professional. Here is a video demo of th

Since Visio 2010 is now available as a public Beta, one option is t
download this version and try out your scenario. (Note that Visio 201
uses the Ribbon, so the video will not quite show the latest look of th
application.)
