Dear,
We are getting the error: "The messaging interface has returned an unknown
error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook." (Diagnostics does not help)
when doing "Save As" .msg on our file server (WS2003SP1) using Outlook 2007
on Vista Business SP1 (Office also SP1 - with all patches also for Vista).
We are saving directly from the "Mailbox - User on the Exchange Server 2003"
into a Folder an a Windows 2003 File Server Directory.
The strange thing is that not every time this happens, but after receiving
the error message a first time, when you try to save the same message a
second time, it does not give the error message and saves the .msg file onto
the server.
Outlook does not close but it's very annoying saving every message 2 times?
Thanks!
I do see that a .tmp file is created when doing Save As .msg the
first time.
