I'm running MO 2003 with Vista using exchange interface.

I'm getting the error...
"the messaging interface has returned an unknown error...."
When I try to add a distribution list and/or contact in outlook.

Any suggestions?

Try to add it where?
To a message, an appointment, when trying to create a new contact item?

Does it work when you try it in Outlook Safe Mode?
Start-> type; outlook.exe /safe

Have you already applied all updates?
Tried doing a repair already of Office 2003?
