Hi,

I had a MDE program that is link to a database.

In the program, there is a main form and a sub form. Entry to the main form
has no problem but as the user enter the sub form, an error message pop up:
"The Microsoft Jet database engine stopped the process because you and
another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time."

After that the sub form will have the #Error in the text/combo field

But if i recall the data again, it work smoothly. It only happen if the entry
is new.

I also has a program in another PC that is link to the same data and it work
fine without having any issue.

I was sure that both system does not run at the same time when this issue
occurs as i had test it out.

Can any tell me what is the cause and how to solve the issue. I am currently
using MS Access 2003

What do you mean when you say, "if i recall the data again"?
Do you have any code that changes any values, like an [DateEdited] field?

Hi,

what i mean is although there is an error, the entry still can be saved. User
has to enter base on the "Saved entry" so the error will no appear as it will
only show if it is a new entry.

No. All entry are user entries

Is the data in a local Access table, a linked Access table or a table
linked to SQL Server?
