The object could not be found

MICHAEL

Outlook 2000 running on Exchange 2000. Whenever the user
tries to open a recurring event she gets an "object not
found" error (they do not contain attachments). Things I
have tried are:

Clear forms cache
Used clean free/busy and safe switch
Deleted profile, rebooted, setup profile again
Ran Office repair
Uninstalled and reinstalled outlook.

We still cannot open these files. Any ideas?

Try deleting the "frmcache.dat" file (or renaming it frmcache.bak if you are
of a nervous disposition), because it's probably corrupt. It can be found in
"Local Settings\application data\microsoft\forms".
When you re-open Outlook it will re-create the file, and the problem will
(hopefully) be gone.
