The Office Update Catalog cannot be displayed Help

Tried to see what needs to be updated and the screen
starts off at 30%, go to 40% (completed) and then I get
the flwg message:

"The Office Update Catalog cannot be displayed Help"

I have 'tried again' through a variety of ways but no
luck. How can I fix this?

Hi, anonymous,

This fix has been posted several times; a few people have said it helped
them:

Click Start/Run then type Regedit and click OK.

1. Go to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer\Products and locate the product name
(in the right hand panel) There is an entry for every product called
ProductName.
2. With the entry for your Office product selected, export
this entry for backup (in case anything goes wrong
and you need to reinstate it).
3. Then delete the entry from your registry. Restart computer.
4. Then please insert the Office Installation CD to run Setup for Office
again to reinstall Office on the computer to the original folder on your
computer.
5. After installation, try the Office Update site again.
