Hello All,
This problem occurs in Outlook 2003 running against Exchange Server 2003 on
a Windows 2000 client. The process for recreating the error is as follows:
1. Create a new appointment or open an existing appointment from the
Calendar.
2. When the Appointment item loads, type in a few characters of a known
contact into the Contacts field on the Appointment tab.
3. From the appointment form, click Tools... and then Check names. The
text in the Contacts field is not verified and an error that says (exactly)
"The operation failed" is displayed. It may be important to note that Cached
Exchange Mode is currently turned off in the profile.
If anyone has any ideas on what could be causing this, it would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
