The page numbering in the table of contents is wrong

When I generate a table of contents in Word 2007, the page numbers are all
displayed correctly. However, when I print or go to print preview, the page
numbers listed in the table of contents are changed.
The table of contents starts on page 2 (which is shown correctly in the
table). The next section after the table of contents actually starts on page
27 (its a testing script, so lots of contents), but after sending it to the
printer or viewing a print preview, it (and everything after it) is listed in
the table of contents as starting on page 3.
I have tried generating a new table of contents and the same thing happens.
Everything is correct intiially, then lots of page 3's after print or print
preview.

DON'T generate a new TOC. Just update the current one with F9. What you're
experiencing is common with files opened (from attachments) in Reading
Layout/Online Reading view, but I haven't heard of it in connecton with
files just printed.
