"The parameter is incorrect" when trying to open from Terminal ses

I'm using Office 2k3 SP1. My servers are Windows 2k3 Enterprise edition with
Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0 SP4.

When I try to open a database that is already open (the .ldb file exists)
from a terminal session I get an error "The parameter is incorrect" and the
file will not open.

I can open the file initially from a terminal session. And I can open the
file after it is already open in a terminal session from a non-terminal
session (my local PC).

I've tried every combination of locks available on the advanced tab of
tools/options.

Any ideas?
