The Project Application Service doesn't exist or is stopped

I am installing PS2007 on a server farm, and I am stuck at the Project
Server 2007 provisioning to the farm, and unable to proceed to the
next step. I get this message "The Project Application Service
doesn't exist or is stopped. Start the Project Application
Service.". The thing is, the Project Application Service is already
running. I have installed Project Server SP1, WSS SP1 and MOSS SP1.
I have run the stsadm command, followed by iisreset /noforce, but
still no luck. Anybody out there have any idea how to fix this?

I too have the same problem:
The Project Application Service doesn't exist or is stopped. Start the
Project Application Service.

Did anyone come across any fix, please let me know.
