How to Participate in the .PST Import Tool Beta Program

Yeah but when I checked the page, it looked like I needed a guest ID to
participate.... I fear the beta might be restricted to network admin or
Exchange admins that have contacts with MS...

Hi Jim,
This is a public beta. Everyone may participate.

Thanks a lot for the info Jim. I couldn't get it to work yesterday when
I tried (and posted here) but everything went on smoothly today :)) I
can access the survey page and apply :)

I think it was due to some funkyness with my .Net Passport......

It seems that Microsoft has removed the tool from their site. Where can I
find it now - does anyone know? Thnxs

They never had the import tool on their site. What they had was an
invitation to join the public beta. If you joined, you sent them your .pst .
They are using all the .psts they got as samples to help develop the import
tool. In due course, they'd be sending something back to you to try out,
much later on. Maybe they'd just send you back an Entourage database with
the data imported - I don't know. (I'm not in this beta since I don't have
Exchange and thus can't use Outlook 2001.) They evidently have enough
examples to test with already so they've closed the beta to new joiners.

The general public will probably get the import tool not long after all the
"beta" .pst sample contributors get their databases back, so I don't think
you'll have lost much here.
