I have an xsn that gets data from a table on an access database located on
the network on the same domain. However when I go to that network and try to
access it the Error message I get is:
"This form requires connections to data sources when it is loaded. At least
one of these connections is not available. As specified by the form
designer, this form will not open.

"InfoPath cannot create a new, blank form.
InfoPath cannot open the form. To fix this problem, contact your system
administrator.
Form template:
file:///\\rmga36\gadfs\Employee%20Training%20Log\New%20Employee%20Training%20Log.xsn
The query cannot be run for the following DataObject: TrainingAreas
InfoPath cannot run the specified query.
InfoPath cannot connect to the data source.
InfoPath has encountered an error. The operation failed."

I have changed my Internet Options.

the Form was created using InfoPath 2003, but we are using InfoPath 2007
now, does this have anything to do with it?

Can anyone tell me how to solve this problem?

Thanks,

MEG

Hi,

From your first post, it seems that there is some communication
problem between your form and the database.
Is your form browser compatible or you access it through InfoPath
client?
How are you querying the access db?

I have worked with browser compatible IP forms communicating with SQL
Server DB and can try to resolve your issue.

Thanks,

Meg,

I am having my network people confirm that the 2 users have
read/write/execute to the folder where the form/database is stored. I have
people in London and all over the country using the form with no issue, these
two people are 2 floors below and cannot access it!!!! The only thing so far
is they have Access 2007 and InfoPath 2007.

Thanks for replying. We access the form thru InfoPath. My Database is in MS
Access.

Is this enough info?

Meg,

I had a breakthrough, I created a form with 1 lookup field and tried it
against the database....form DID NOT WORK. Then I created a new database with
the 1 lookup table in it and mapped the connection to the form and put the
new test database in the same folder that the form is located....the form
worked. So I believe it is a network mapping issue. Did you try with the
database and the form in the same folder....

I had the same problem, this helped a lot even though it is an old post.

My problem mainfested when the infopath form would work on desktop and fail
on my laptop, so it could not have been NTFS, trust or permission issue.
What happen is I had a mapped drive to direct UNC path, and the my laptop had
an alias. Well that messed it up. I just mapped the correct one. This
problem also mainfested to all my users, who hit it from different UNC, so
just have them map the correct UNC to the drive, and everything will be happy.
