The removal of the Office Shortcut Bar is ridiculous! I hope you.

This was the most useful tool in Office. If I put the icons on the task bar,
I don't have enough space to see my open programs. I kept my most used
programs on the shortcut bar. Why would something so useful and so
unobtrusive be removed. I strongly believe it should still be an option.

The Office bar is a piece of POOP!

Make a new section in your taskbar, add the icons you want there, then drag
the section to a different side of the screen, or into the middle of your
desktop.

ie

Make a folder on your hard drive. Put all the shortcuts that you want there.
Right click the taskbar. Toolbars -> New toolbar. Find the folder on your
hard drive and select it and click OK.

*POOF* a new toolbar with what you need on it. You can move it around
independantly of the Taskbar. (Remember to unlock the taskbar before
changing stuff around)

And, of course, your opinion is the only one that counts! In fact, the OP has a
right to his opinion and didn't ask for yours. Many people have expressed their
desire(in this NG) to have the OSB back and we can only hope that, for a
change, someone at MS is actually listening, instead of planning the removal of
another tool helpful for non-technical users of Office.

Cheers,
John

Where did I say that?

And why does he have the right to post his if I don't have the right to post
mine?

And what makes YOUR opinion any better than mine?

At least I provided a workaround, unlike your COMPLETELY useless post.
Please go back to corner.

You have every right to give your opinion even if it isn't asked for and my
opinion is no better than anyone else's. That's why they're called opinions.
Neither the OP nor any of the other novice, non-technical users who have begged
in the Group for the OSB to be returned want a workaround. They want their OSB
back! For many of them, their computer savvy is limited to 1. Turning it on
and 2. Starting an Office App. from their OSB. Most of them have no idea what
you are talking about. I do...and I still want the OSB back, because it is more
convenient and would stop a lot of whining, here and on my voicemail.
And I happen to like my corner, it has a phone, a big TV, and a refrigerator,
oh and a PC, too. With a broadband connection so I can D/L all the MS Updates
before I grow old and die.

Cheers,
John
