the reply arrow missing

When I reply to a message using Outlook 2007, sometimes the reply arrow does
not show up on the message I just replied to.

It is becomming very frustrating since I have to go to my sent mail to see
if I responded to a particular message.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You need to add the "Icon" field back to the preview pane. Right
click at the top of the Outlook preview pane where it say to, from,
subject, etc. Choose "customize current view" from the menu. Add the
"Icon" field back into the list of fields then move it up to second
from the top (or where ever you prefer). That should solve the issue.
