The report does not show the data as it appears on the screen

I generated a report and modified the template to show the data in a certain
format but when I print the report the data does not print the way it shows
on the report on the screen. Is there a way to correct that by going into the
design view?

Report View can be very different than the printed output. Use Print Preview
to see how your end product will look.

Use design view to change placement, width, or add information.

One of my biggest learning curves has been to use queries to collect data
then create reports off the query. Using data from only 1 table is far too
restrictive.

A major stumbling block for me is that often typing in commands for controls
doesn't take correctly. I can type the same control sequence a dozen times
before it decides to work. Why I don't know and yes I know it's correct as I
cut and paste from text documents repeatedly.

Thanks Dwade - I used the query to generate the report but since I grouped
the data to summarized the output by Project I think its due to that - I'm
still working on it. Hopefully I don't have to start from scratch

Also it could due to the built-in template I used since I made tremendous
changes in the design view.
