The Resource Budget Field

Unfortunately, I created all my users/resources w/o understanding that the
budget field is used for something in particular and now PS/Proj Prof won't
allow me to go back and change the budget field for my resources through
Proj. Prof. or PS.

Can I updated this field from the backend of the database for the particular
resources that I want? I really need for it to be set to yes for the cost
tracking piece that it helps with.

Also, I know you can't delete resources/users, you can only make them
inactive. Can I delete these from the backend of the database also?

You can delete resources from the Server Settings page.

What about changing the Budget field?

There's a nice how-to on budgeting on Office Online (assuming you are talking
about Project 2007). It may help.

Basically it will tell you that you want to create budget resources for your
projects (either local or enterprise), assign them to the Project Summary
Task, and use the Resource Usage view to enter Budget Work and Budget Cost.
