The server sent a response which FrontPage could not parse

Newbie with Front Page.

When I try to acsess our website through Front Page 2002
I get this error now "The server sent a response which
FrontPage could not parse". It does not ask for a user
name or password.

Our web server provider(dial-up.net) had changed servers
and had not loaded Front Page server extensions
originally. Now they did. Now I can acsess the page at
home(dialup modem) and it works correctly but not at work
(satellite). One other thing that we had changed recently
is we upgraded our hardware for the internet. We now have
the Direcway satellite DW6000 internet server modem
connected to a router and then to are local network
through a ethernet switch. Is there something with the
router that would cause this error? It is a Linksys
wireless broadband router with 4-port switch.

Contact your ISP / WPP and ask them to check the FP Server Extensions.

Hi, Most of the people on the internet and in Microsoft aren't reading the words that discribe this problem. Direcway has no answer yet. But if the people who will be resolving this problem would take note! As on my systems using windows 98se and XP and front page 2000 and 2003. They all work with dial up. The server is setup correct! The front page software worked with the dw4000 two way. Something has changed in the 6000 unit so it does not talk to the front page server correctly. Some hand shake protocol between microsoft and direcway is not workin. Who is going to find out what is?

It would be up to Directway to resolve the issue, as you have indicated it
does work via dial-up so it has to be something in the way Directway is
handling the connection, etc.

I have been in contact with Direcway about their new DW6000 system. The standard account will not work with FrontPage (any version). They will not refund your money for the DW6000. They say that it is only for internet browsing and if you wish to use FrontPage you need to pay the extra for their Pro account. They more or less told me that they do not care and it is my problem and they do not say that it will work with third party software, meaning any solftware but theirs.. They were very rude and unhelpful about it.

Pro account does not solve the problem either. Please let me know i
you find any other solution
