The sound of sillence

Hi. I've just read some topics on this subject, but no one helped me,
so I ask if there's anyone that can help me...
Today all sounds in Entourage and in the other application of Mac
Office 2004 have gone. I don't hear any sound no more. Every preference

sound is OK (in all applications).
I reinstalled Office and I've updated to version 11.2.1... but nothing
yet... I tried to delete the preferences, but nothing changed. I tried
with universal access in system preferences, but it didn't work. I've
Mac OS X 10.4.3
What can I do?

Do you have GarageBand? Try launching and quitting GarageBand and see if
that helps. You may need to quit your Office applications first.

Now the sounds are back and everything works again.
We can suggest MS about this bug...
