Do any MS Office templates exist for the standard thesis or dissertation
format? I have not yet found one. Best regards.

You may want to check with your advisor. There isn't a single standard that applies to all disciplines or even to all schools who
are interpreting a single discipline's standard, but many schools have, either in print or via a website a list of requirements and
examples or at the very least the standard they've selected to use.
